15.04.2008 - Release of CyberMotion 3D-Designer 13.0

With version 13.0 the relative size of a world unit is replaced by the basic
unit centimeter. Inputs in other supported units of measurements will be
converted automatically. In previous versions the triangle was the basic
element for all modeling work. In the current version the quadrangle will
take over this role wherever possible. With quads it will be a lot of easier
to model angular shaped models and subdivision surface routines will provide
better results. When importing older files of previous versions the software
will automatically convert the triangle based object to an optimized quadrangular
object definition. New primitives with optionally rounded edges were
added to the create object menu and the beveling functions for the Extrude-
and 3D-Text editors expanded. Version 13.0 will introduce new displacement
materials which can deform the surface of an object. The revised landscape
editor will use this functionality in combination with the Subdivision Surface
property to generate terrains of variable resolutions. There are new functions
that generate automatic sun colors and corresponding sky gradients in dependence
of the sun inclination. Fuzzy volumetric clouds are rendered now with help
of a new volumetric cloud model. The camera movement in the viewport window
has been expanded by an auto-movement. With a gentle push of the mouse
you can initiate the movement that automatically continuous.

01.03.2007 - Release of CyberMotion 3D-Designer 12.25 (free Upgrade
for all registered users of v.12.x)

The new version 12.25 now fully supports Windows Vista. Furthermore a couple
of new features were implemented to perfect the integration of 3d-models
into photographic backgrounds. With help of skymapping (panoramic environment
textures), image based lighting (evaluation of the skymap for the ambient
light incidence) and HDRI (high dynamic range image - a special picture format
used for image based lighting) the light atmosphere of an image can
be transferred to the models of your virtual 3d-scene. Read more about this
topic and other improvements in our complete list of new features:

Because of the many adjustments in regards to Windows Vista no update
patch is available - a complete reinstallation of the full setup is
required. Therefore, you should uninstall your previous version 12.x
first.

10.11.2006 - Release of CyberMotion 3D-Designer 12.0

Increase the photo-realistic impression of your renderings with the newly
implemented Ambient Occlusion Renderer. The Ambient Occlusion shader enhances
contours and provides soft shadows by simulating mutual shadow casting
of adjacent objects and corners caused by the diffuse area brightness.
CyberMotion now also supports multi-core CPUs and multi-processor
systems. In addition to the line-by-line rendering of a picture you
can now choose also a progressive picture construction which gives a good
impression of the final result within seconds. With Subdivision Surface modeling
you can change all polygonal objects into organic curved objects of higher
resolution. CyberMotion now exports alpha- and depth- channels in pictures
and separate alpha-videos.
More features: support of video-codecs, a new billboard primitive,
auto-aligning functions, import and export of the Wavefront- "obj" file format,
2D pixel particles for smoke trails and spraying water and much more.

November 03, 2005 - Update to version 11.05.
In version 11.05 the rendering speed of the raytracing algorithm has been
considerably improved, especially in regard to high resolution scenes comprising
of 100.000 to several millions of facets. While rendering time of low resolution
scenes remains mainly constant the rendering of high resolution projects
like landscape scenes has been improved up to 10 times faster rendering then
in previous versions. At the same time the scanline algorithm was removed.
Since the raytracing algorithm is now comparatively fast and produces a much
higher quality the scanline algorithm became obsolete and was removed. The
option to render autostereograms was also discarded.
October 10, 2005 - Release of CyberMotion 3D-Designer 11.0

New features of version 11.0: New viewport and object selection managment,
display of uv-mapped textures in viewports, frozen facet selections with
own material lists, revised material managment - up to 16 materials can be
assigned to each of the 31 possible facet selections of an object summing
up to 512 possible materials on a single object, uv-Mapping (generation of
uv-coordinates as well as rendering of uv-Maps), new masking features for
bitmaps to cut out textured surface areas, more detailed landscape textures,
improved file format export (e.g., support of uv-mapped textures for
3DS and other formats), extended particle systems for distributing particles
on uneven grounds (see the wonderful world video in the gallery for an example
of plant particles populating a whole landscape), data recovery for
interrupted work sessions and so on. You can find a complete list of all
new functions here:

January 18, 2005 - Release of CyberMotion 3D-Designer 10.0

For version 10.0 the animation system has been completely re-programmed.
To name only some of the main features, CyberMotion supports now
hierarchy-independent animation, relative movements and character animation
with skeletal deformation (Skins and Bones). For clarity, work on a project
is now divided into Modeling Mode and Animation Mode. The background model
provides new atmospheric effects, for instance, a fast post-processing effect
for rain and snow particles, condensation trails and rainbows. The different
tool menus have been revised and extended with many useful new functions.
The work space now expands to a dimension of 2^24 = 16,772,216 units,
the viewport and raytracing render engines had been optimized and so on.

PC Games Hardware (Germany)
Editors recommendation: "Cost-Performance Ratio: Excellent".
PC Games Hardware commended CyberMotion for the "...solid and user oriented
concept..." and the "...intuitive interface." and "..it is rather more remarkable
that other heavy weights like Carrara Studio or Truespace had to step aside
for a little shareware tool, which caught directly the second place in the
test", "...and that for only 120
euros."

"CyberMotion 3D Designer is a 3D utility suite you can use to model, animate,
and render any kind of 3D material... It features quite a few actions and
special effects that will definitely come in handy.

Video aktiv DIGITAL (Germany)
"CyberMotion offers a sensational cost-performance ratio" and "Demanding
but not complicated CyberMotion presents the perfect animation software for
beginners: A lot of performance for little money."
"With the raytracing algorithm CyberMotion is able to render photorealistic
pictures and animations with real fraction, reflection and shadows, just
like in nature. Special effects like depth-sharpness, lens and luminosity
flares will enhance the impression of real camera pictures."

Customer Testimonials |
I purchased CyberMotion 3D-Designer from you a couple of days ago and I feel
compelled to tell you how delighted I am with it.
I have been experimenting with 3d graphics programs over the past couple
of years and during this time have used most of the freeware and 'inexpensive
to purchase' (i.e. less that £100) commercial products ( I do this as
a hobby and therefore cannot justify purchasing the expensive ones). I have
found all of the ones that I have tried to be lacking in one important aspect
or another.
However yours is different, its easy to use, comprehensive, fast, and gives
good quality results. I must say its an impressive product for such a small
price.
Thank you again for an excellent product!
H.W., UK
Great Product! Downloaded yesterday, tried it last night, registered today!

Just wanted to drop you a fellas a note and say Good Job! I have been previewing
CAD programs for over a month now and just when I had given up on finding
something I could use, I came across 3d-desinger. The most frustrating thing
for me with other programs has been the lack of coherent explanations on
how to use the thing or the lack of a critical feature. I'm definitely a
CAD novice and your help file and tutorial is excellent. The program features
are outstanding and I'm very excited about getting on with designing my
scenes.
Whatever success you enjoy is well deserved!
M. Lawrence
Jürgen Kappus, KAMEDIA - Werbung in allen Medien
